We welcome you to be part of this International Conference that will be about how Ayurveda and Yoga, two of the primary Indian Knowledge Systems, work together to offer perfect care.

Ayurveda is the Knowledge of Life, whilst Yoga is the union of Body, Mind and Soul. Combining the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda enables the healing process deep within and promotes physical, mental and spiritual well being. This Indian Knowledge Systems Conference will bring forward and develop the relationship between Ayurveda with Yoga.

Punarnava Ayurveda organized the First Conference “Ayurveda – Where Science meets Consciousness” at Mahabalipuram , India in January 2006. This conference attracted over 600 participants from 13 countries and renowned speakers from 6 countries. The high standards set at this conference invoked an overwhelming request to bring forth a specialist group of accredited and respected speakers together to continue this discussion and further enlighten the participants.

Why this Conference?

The primary objectives of the conference include –

  1. To increase awareness amongst the Ayurveda & Yoga communities about the close relationship between these knowledge systems and how they enhance and support each other,
  2. To highlight the benefits of integrating Ayurveda and Yoga into teaching and practice and then encourage and give examples to the Ayurveda and Yoga communities to integrate the other’s discipline into study, application, teaching and practice of their own discipline,
  3. To understand Yoga therapy from an Ayurvedic perspective, and Ayurveda treatments from Yoga’s perspective
  4. To be a part of the interaction and inspiration between living legends in the fields of Ayurveda and Yoga who shall present their spiritual, medical, practical and research perspectives, and,
