1. Dr. Rama
Prasad
“If we were born with a users’ manual for our
beings- it would be Ayurveda.”
Dr. Rama Prasad is an
innovative Ayurvedic physician dedicated to establishing
authentic Ayurvedic training and treatment in Australia
. Since graduating from the prestigious Coimbatore
Ayurveda College in 1989 Rama Prasad taught and
practiced Ayurveda in India with the Coimbatore Arya
Vaidya Pharmacy and Kottakkal Ayurveda Shala before
relocating to Australia . For the past 10 years he has
consulted and conducted courses from his busy clinic,
Ayurveda Elements in Sydney . He is also the head
Ayurveda lecturer at Sydney ’s renowned Nature Care
College . Dr. Prasad has published many articles on
Ayurveda.
Dr. Prasad is passionate
about applying Ayurveda to the modern context and
conveying its potent healing potential to the public and
practitioners in all health fields .
2. Dr. Robert
Svoboda
“ Ayurveda is a science of
reality as that reality is expressed in embodied life."
Robert E. Svoboda is the
first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of
Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India .
During and after his formal Ayurvedic training Robert
was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra and other
forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori
Vimalananda. After living in India for more than a
decade, he has continued to spend much of each year
there and in other lands. The author of a dozen books,
he serves as Adjunct Faculty for the Ayurvedic Institute
in Albuquerque and for Bastyr University in Seattle .
3. Ms. Rose
Baudin
Rose Baudin has studied and
practiced yoga for 30 years and has taught for 20. She
met her mentor Swami Gauribala in Sri Lanka in 1971, and
was initiated into the Parampara in 1984. During the 16
years she lived in India , she was instructed by masters
in the various schools of yoga: Integral, Iyengar, Vini,
& Astanga as well as extensive meditation experience
under the guidance of S.N. Goenka (Vipassana), Zen
Master Hogen-san Yamahata, (Soto), and Sayadaw U Janaka
(Satipatthana Insight Meditation).
Since 1986,
Rose has been based in Australia teaching yoga classes
& weekend meditation retreats, as well as
instructing and lecturing at Yoga Arts, an international
school for teacher training. She has been conducting
yoga intensives, residential retreats and seminars
internationally for the past 11 years.
4. Dr. K. P.
Muraleedharan
Dr. K.P. Muraleedharan is a
forward-thinking Ayurveda physician having graduated
from the Ayurveda College , Kottakkal In 1977. He has
grown to be recognized internationally as an Ayurveda
scholar par excellence. This erstwhile principal of the
Ayurveda College - Coimbatore and later Jayendra
Saraswati Ayurveda College - Chennai, Dr.
Muraleedharan’s insights into several aspects of
Ayurveda are exceptional. During his career he has many
articles published in various journals. He is an eminent
speaker and has addressed many Ayurveda seminars.
During his career, he has
held key positions in many Universities like Chairman -
Board of Studies in Ayurveda in SCVSVMV ( Deemed
University ), President for the faculty of Ayurveda
Tamilnadu in Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He was also
Chairman for Board of Studies in Ayurveda -Tamilnadu Dr.
M.G.R. Medical University , Board of question-paper
setting in UG/PG entrance examinations in Kerala Public
Service Commission, N.T.R. University of Health Sciences
