(IIT, Madras) Service: Joined the Indian Administrative Service in July 1972 and belongs to the Kerala cadre.  In the State of Kerala he has worked in diverse fields of Revenue Administration, District Collector, Quilon with a population of 2.8 million. Deputy Secretary, Labour Special Officer for Cashew Industry Special Secretary, Industries, especially the traditional industries of cashew, coir and handloom. Secretary, Health Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala. In the Government of India he has worked in the Ministries of Defence Shipping and Transport Ministry of Home looking after the North Eastern States. Earlier he was Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, in the Government of India dealing with WTO, RMTR & UNCTAD matters.  He is also in charge in the Department of Commerce of matters relating to SEZ and EOUs and Chairman of the BOA for SEZ/ EOU. He has represented State and Central Government delegations to USA, EU, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, U.K., Thailand and Slovenia.
