	A banker turned entrepreneur, Sanjay entered the Indian fashion Industry in the mid 90s and gets substantial credit for leading the corporatization of the fashion industry in India.  Post acquiring a slew of premium Indian fashion labels and taking them to the world, he has expanded his vision of luxury retailing by the introduction of European luxury brands into India. His long-term vision of further expansion in the domestic and overseas market, coupled with his financial and market insights have enabled Genesis Colors to be the first company in the Indian fashion circuit to obtain private equity. Modeled on the lines of global fashion conglomerates, the company has posted an impressive 80% year on year growth for the last few years. Today, Sanjay Kapoor stands as an epitome of a distinctive and a dynamic business success story – a stature that is only growing by years as he transforms Genesis Colors into a fashion colossus through his impeccable business acumen. Sanjay is an MBA from the University of Rochester and lives in Delhi with his wife Nasib. He is an active member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
