About BOS
About the Bombay Orthopaedic Society
Over the years, fifty-five to be exact, BOS has grown in to an illustrious body, solely devoted to Orthopaedics and its sub-specialties. It is being run by its members who are dedicated towards its cause with no personal gains.
The Silver Jubilee Conference of the IOA which was held in Mumbai in 1980, was a feather in the cap of Mumbai orthopaedic surgeons. All strata of Orthopaedic Surgeons put in their hearts and hard work to make this conference a big success. Even today, after more than fourty years, it is considered a gold standard for conference organization from the social, managerial and academic perspective.
BOS along with MOA had organized the Golden Jubilee Conference of the IOA in Mumbai in the year 2005. The organizers had made it a memorable conference for all the attendees.
2015 was a landmark year for the BOS as it celebrated its 50th year of existence and also conducted the Golden Jubilee 'WIROC Grande' 2015.
The BOS now has the Privilege to conduct the 65th Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, IOACON 2020 in Mumbai in conjunction with its state chapter.
