THE EVENT - 14th INTERNATIONAL SINDHI SAMMELAN, SINGAPORE
Sindhi’s are amongst the finest export India has ever offered to the world. Strong and hard working, entrepreneurs and professional, the Sindhi’s are regarded as citizens of the world. They have risen Phoenix like from the ashes after being ethnically cleansed from their homeland of Sindh, to achieving pinnacles in industry at an international level. Always great net workers, Sindhi’s have navigated their existence with amiable cross cultural interface, and where ever they settled, they have engaged and contributed in a meaningful manner to their new homes.

The objective of the 14th International Sindhi Sammelan conference is to bring together the largelyDispersed Sindhi Diaspora so that the community has an opportunity to meet, network and interact. Business andCommerce apart, the aim is to enlarge their knowledge ofeach other, share their history and their culture and engage with the rest of the community, in a meaningful manner.


THE CHALLENGE
Singapore Sindhi Association aims at educating Sindhi’s about their culture and bringing together globally settled Sindhis. To further this goal, the Association has been organizing Sindhi Sammelans for the past 13 years.

This year, the Association decided to add an online registration facility in addition to its regular registration methods - walk-in registrations and phone registrations because of the growing popularity of internet as a medium of communication. Singapore Sindhi Association hoped that by adding an online registration facility they could make the registration process easier for their attendees and increase their attendee volumes.


THE SOLUTION
Singapore Sindhi Association partnered with EventAvenue for their an online event management solution. This partnership provided them with a range of event management tools, a 24 x 7 online registration facility with an in-built payment gateway. This made it easy for their attendees to register from anywhere, at anytime at their convenience.
